Frank Lloyd Wright 1979 Plaster Cast Tree of Life

$2,500

Licensed and manufactured by the Frank Lloyd Wright Home & Studio Foundation in 1979, this large Plaster Bas-Relief Plaque is an exact replica of the original, which adorned the entrance of Frank Lloyd Wright’s studio in Oak Park, Illinois. This large 32lb architectural sculpture is called “Tree of Life, Book, and Storks” and measures 35 ¼” tall by 14” wide and 3 ½” deep. This finely cast hard Plaster Plaque retains its original off-white painted surface and is in very good, un-restored condition. There is a shallow chip to the left side of the scroll, as well as a couple of small surface rubs and scuffs and abrasions.
Please see the last two photos of the original colonnade.

The plaque depicts two storks, one holding a book and the other perched on a fruiting tree.
