Early Production 42 inch Knoll Saarinen Tulip Top with Marble Top

A beautifully grained marble top Saarinen Tulip table by Knoll. It is 42 inches in diameter. Slightly under 29 inches tall. The bottom of the table is stamped Knoll International. We’ve sold quite a few of these over the years and as is common with some of these, the wood table support underneath the marble has been replaced. The marble simply rests atop the support, as the marble is heavy enough to be secure. The base appears to have been re-powder coated at some point in the past. The base is in good condition with a few marks, which are pictured. The top is in good condition with no breaks or chips, although there is a scratch, pictured as well.
If you are looking for a vintage Saarinen table this beauty has a stunning patterned top. I’m not sure what the marble is but is is simply wonderful with lots of inclusions.
