Rare Early Production Knoll Saarinen Walnut Tulip Table & 4 Chairs 575 Madison

A beautiful and quite rare very early production Knoll Eero Saarinen Tulip table and chairs. The Walnut top table and chairs all bear the Knoll 575 Madison Avenue label which means that they were produced between 1958 and 1961 when Knoll moved to 320 Park Avenue. The walnut top is in surprisingly good condition with stunning graining and great color. There are some minor spots of fading and a few scratches. It’s possible it may have been refinished at some point although there is no way to tell. The base has enamel wear to the edges. The chairs have been reupholstered at some point we believe in a leather or vinyl. It’s hard to tell they have been affixed to the bottom of the chairs. The chirps are labeled beneath the seat cushions. The chairs have wear to the enamel and a few minor scratches and marks but are in good presentable condition. By and large the set is in wonderful vintage condition for such an early set.
