Rare custom made Gilbert Rohde designed dining table 3 leaves

A rare custom made dining table designed by Gilbert Rohde in the late 1930′s. This table was not a stock item and had to be specially ordered. You will not find too many of these tables and each one is different with different woods. This table has three leaves that are 19.75 inches wide. They are slightly lighter in color than the two end pieces which are 42 inches wide making the table 84 inches long without the leaves. We elected not to have the table totally stripped and re-finished as it is in remarkably good condition for it’s age. There are some minor cracquelure to the surface and some minor nicks and surface scratches, but it is in good condition after we had it polished. The total length can be 143.25 inches. It is pictured with only two of it’s leaves in. It seats 10 comfortably with two leaves and will easily seat 12-14 with all three leaves in. The burl wood is a book matched carpathian elm burl.
