Pr glass iron bronze tables by noted Israeli artist Ilana Goor

A beautiful pair of Glass top tables with bases of Iron rebar and Bronze bird decorations. They are both by the internationally noted Israeli Artist Ilana Goor. Some of her small sculptures and recently began to turn up at the major 20th century design auctions. They both bear a plaque that reads Goor 11/100 and the other is numbered 10/100. The patina is very interesting as part is black iron and the rest is patinated with a copper colored finish. The glass tops are in excellent condition and are 5/8 inch thick. Of the the tables has two birds and the other has three bird sculptures. This artist custom makes all of her pieces on a order only basis. She started making these in 1986 and these probably date to the late 80′s as they have such early sequence numbers. She at some point had a showroom in Manhattan, which I do not believe is still open. We had the opportunity to visit her studio in Israel about 4-5 years ago and I can assure you that the price we are asking is a fraction of what it would cost to commission a new pair and have them shipped from Israel.

Very good with some slight wear to the patina, although as I mentioned this may have been intentional.
