Paul Manship 1930 Medallic art Dionysus medallion Magic Grape

A nice medal produced by the Medallic art company of NY in it’s second issue in 1930 done by Paul Manship one of the most important American art deco sculptors. This medallion depicts Dionysus and is marked Hail to Dionysus who first discovered the magic of the grape. Signed on the rear P. Manship 1930. Marked on the rim second issue and the company name. There are numerous light scratches and nicks and one larger one pictured on the rim below his signature. Approx 2.875 inches in diameter.
