Louis Grebenak was a famous WPA muralist. Grebenak taught at The Brooklyn Museum School, Brooklyn, New York. He is consider the leading figure in the 1950′s – 60′s Brooklyn School of artists. Many artist from this group broke away from Social Realism and ventured to abstract expressionism, hard edge and pop art.
