Description: A pair of the most beautiful grained large specimen petrified wood slabs polished on one side to perfection. The silver leafed bases were custom made and display these nicely. They are two distinct species the one on the left we have identified as Woodworthia and is particularly rare. The are thick and extremely heavy. As many of you know petrified wood is no longer allowed to be taken out of state and national parks so finally big specimen pieces is getting exceedingly difficult to find. One is approx 13 inches wide the the is approx 15 inches wide. Bases are the same size. They are approx 18 inches tall without including the fixtures. The lamp tops are adjustable with the finial moving approx 5 inches up from their present position. These fixtures are cast nickel and are of extremely high quality. Newly wired. The rods seem to be a little off straight see the last photo.
Condition: Petrified wood and silver leaf bases that been colored. There is some loss to the leaf due to handling and a nick on one rod, see the detailed photo.
