English Regency Table Maker’s Name Stamped Base Later Slate Top

A nice English mid 19th century table base with a later Victorian slate painted top. Overall a very nice combination. I’m not sure what the original top was made of, but the slate top is nicely painted.
The base is stamped with the name of the maker and also marked London, C · HINDLEY & SONS 134 OXFORD ST. LONDON.
Prior to their acquisition of the cabinet-makers Miles & Edwards of 134 Oxford Street in 1844, C. Hindley & Sons were carpet, rug and floor manufacturers. Items stamped ‘C. Hindley & Sons 134 Oxford Street’ can be dated to after 1844.
