A signed ceramic piece by the noted artist Masuo Ojima.
It is signed on the base M Ojima. A nice piece of pottery.
A brief statement from the artist’s website:
I was born and grew up in a Craft family in Japan. My father was a cabinet maker and my uncle was a traditional Japanese tile maker. So
i grew up with many memories of wood and clay around me and also the hard life of a Craft family. For this reason I did avoid becoming a part of Craft field. When I was majoring in business administration in the college, I found a ceramic class by chance and I was immediately enchanted by the feeling of clay.
That was how my career as a clay artist began.
