A nice bronze bust by the French artist Serge Yourievitch (1876-1969) which is likely of the czech conductor Josef Stransky. We have dated the work to 20-30’s as Stransky died in 1936. A plaster bust was sold in 1996 by this artist that looks to be a maquette for this bronze which help us identify the subject. Signed and bears the foundry mark as well.
